The Living Eggs Project was an amazing experience for Inverclyde schools. It ignited excitement and wonder right across all stages of the schools, every member of school staff, the parents / carers and the wider school community. It was the thing most talked about at the school gates with one Dad giving up watching his favourite Football Team in favour of staying home to work on a Family Project to design and make a Hen House! Seeing the chicks hatch from the eggs after only 3 days and then caring for them for 2 weeks meant that pupils (and all the others) were learning in a real and relevant context. The displays of the fantatsic work that came from the project shows a depth and richness that is at the heart of Curriculum for Excellence.
